Avoid Falls This Fall

Greetings,

We’re entering fall which unfortunately means the season of falling down. Falling is one of the greatest fears among our seniors, causing 70 percent of accidental deaths among people 75 years and older. Fortunately, with education and awareness we can help protect our seniors.

As someone who has been involved in senior care for years, I routinely give free fall prevention seminars to churches and other groups. My fall prevention seminar includes information on preventing falls, what to do if someone falls, how to safely get up from a fall and how to minimize the physical and emotional impacts of a fall. I also have a fall risk assessment that can help determine how at-risk you or your loved ones are.

With winter on the way, please help the elderly people in your life by keeping sidewalks and driveways clear and dry. If you have an organization that would like a free fall prevention seminar give me a call (907) 677-7890.
